Learn about our Delano project where we safely removed a dead roadside ash tree using meticulous rigging techniques.

We headed out to Delano this week for a dead ash tree removal that kept the crew on their toes from start to finish — a roadside ash that required us to rig every single piece down carefully and deliberately before it touched the ground. Roadside tree removals come with a unique set of challenges that you simply don't encounter in a backyard setting — traffic, proximity to the road, and the need to control every piece of the tree with precision rigging so nothing ends up where it shouldn't. Dead ash trees add another layer to that challenge since the wood can be brittle and unpredictable, making careful rigging not just the smart approach but the only approach. We took our time setting everything up correctly before making a single cut, and that preparation made all the difference.
Once we got to work the job came together really well. Piece by piece and section by section, every part of that ash tree was carefully rigged and lowered down in a controlled manner without any issues whatsoever. It was slow, deliberate, satisfying work — the kind of job where doing it right requires real skill and focus, and the crew brought exactly that from the first cut to the last. By the time the tree was down and the roadside was cleaned up and cleared out, everything looked great and the job was done safely and professionally from top to bottom.
Roadside removals and technical rigging jobs are something we handle regularly at Rooted Treeworks, and we take a lot of pride in doing them safely and correctly every single time. If you've got a roadside tree or any other removal situation that requires a crew with strong rigging skills and a careful approach, give us a call. We'd love to come out and get it taken care of the right way!
