“This might be the strangest review I’ll ever write. Rooted Treeworks came to my neighborhood last weekend to take down some trees and shrubs for a neighbor. They started on a Saturday at 7am. Chainsaws and a stump grinder making all kinds of racket, just as I was trying to get our infant to sleep after a rough night. I ran out there to ask if they had a permit and if they were even aware that they needed one. The crew apologized and said they’d shut it down and come back. I called and spoke with the owner (I believe) and he was very honest and very professional, just like the crew. He explained that they don’t normally do work on Saturday’s, but that he had an eager crew that was ready to get started early. He also admitted that this is something he took to heart and would adjust their scheduling in the future. Look, the crew did a great job that morning and when they came back to finish the following Monday. Very safe, efficient and professional. And the way my “irate neighbor” call was handled proved to me that Rooted Treeworks is a great company. The owner insisted on sending a gift card to apologize! I never asked for compensation, but the gesture was genuine. Though I did not hire Rooted, I can stand behind their work both as an observer and a complainer. The customer service was refreshing, to say the least. I left the situation feeling worse about how I handled myself than the original complaint. They’re good people. And I wanted to make it right by telling this story (with their blessing!)”
