Crab Apple Removal and Silver Maple Pruning in Minneapolis

We had a fun and technical day of tree work this week that had a little bit of everything — a tricky crab apple removal and a big silver maple that needed some serious pruning attention. The crab apple was a smaller tree but don't let the size fool you — the service wires running to the house made it a job that required a careful and deliberate approach from start to finish. Working around wires going to a house demands patience and precision, and we took our time making sure every cut and every piece was handled in a controlled way that kept everything safe and protected throughout the whole process. It was one of those jobs where the size of the tree doesn't tell the whole story, and getting it out cleanly without any disruption to the wires was a really satisfying result.

From there we turned our attention to a large silver maple that had a handful of things going on that needed to be addressed. There were some limbs hanging over the house that needed to come back, line clearance work to be done, and a good amount of dead wood scattered throughout the canopy that was ready to be cleaned out. Silver maples grow fast and get big, and when you have one hanging over a roofline with dead wood in the canopy it's worth taking seriously. We worked through everything methodically — pulling the limbs back off the house, clearing the lines, and stripping out all the dead wood — and by the time we were done that maple was looking clean, healthy, and a whole lot safer than it was when we showed up.
