A large dead oak hanging directly over a home is not something you wait on. Dead wood is unpredictable - it may not give you a warning before it comes down.

The oak had to come down in sections, carefully. With the canopy positioned right over the structure, there was no room for error. We brought in our Leguan 190 spider lift to get our climber into position at height without putting unnecessary stress on the dead wood itself. Working from the lift kept the process controlled from start to finish.

Our climber worked the upper sections piece by piece, directing each cut so nothing fell on the roof. That kind of methodical approach takes longer than a straight fell - but when a home is sitting underneath the work zone, it's the only way to do it right. Dead limbs hanging over the structure got cleaned up at the same time.

All the debris went straight through the Morbark chipper on site. Clean removal, no mess left behind. Homeowners in the Circle Pines area deal with mature tree canopies all the time, and dead wood in those canopies is one of the biggest risks most people underestimate until something goes wrong.

If you've got a tree that isn't leafing out, has large dead branches reaching over your roof, or just doesn't look right - that's worth getting looked at sooner rather than later. Dead wood over a structure is a liability, plain and simple.
